Awkward Silence: The Trilogy

  • Mood: cheerful
  • Music: My Achey, Breaky Back... ;)

I'm still going  strong, though I've strayed far from home

Looking foward to coming back, to correct all my lack.

My journal, I've neglected, but my daughter and friend

is helping me get on the ball again.

Awkward Silence: The Sequel

  • Mood: busy
  • Music: music my daughter is playing

I have just been so busy! It's like I hardly have time for much of anything.... But such is life sometimes.

I think I will post an old poem of mine, written for struggling women. I hope some of you find this uplifting in any way.

Ode To Struggling Women

Scarred, bruised, sometimes confused
Weak then strong, afraid, alone
Broken, battered, fragile, tattered
Today smiling, tomorrow crying
Through it all, keep on trying
Sometimes high, sometimes low
Sometimes hot, sometimes cold
Pray, pray, pray to not overload
Even when sinking, always thinking
I'll rise, I'm God's, I'll rise
Through tears and lies, remain sane, remain wise
Knowing through it all you must look up
In spite of it all never give up
Keep your towel, never throw it in
Knowing every stopping place is a great place to begin
Being down is a good opportunity to look up
Knowing God will be your help, when life is rough
He will only allow your tears to cleanse your heart
He will only allow closed doors to give new starts
So ride the dark clouds and when they roll away
Be the first to greet the sun of a brand new day
Life is for living, the heart is for giving
Not to be tucked away
So let pain pass on through and never linger in you
Only teach you to grow, God's way
You belong to God, you are strong
A wealth of love is always afforded to you
Through Jesus Christ, beloved women of strength
God will always keep you and love you

God Bless, Mary Ann

Awkward Silence...

  • Mood: great
  • Music: demo cd my daughter and I made

It's been a while since I have updated my journal. I guess I have been too busy. I'll try not to stay away for this long again. Don't want you all to forget about me!

I will try to put another poem or song on here soon. Be sure to check back.

Peace and God Bless

Corners of the Mind

  • Mood: Good
  • Music: Healing Rain by Michael W. Smith

This poem is about recognizing your faults, flaws, and bad habits without making excuses, and knowing that change starts with knowing what needs to be changed.

                       Corners of the Mind

Turn a corner what do you see,  An illusion or reality?

Do you feel you've been there before?

If you turn another corner would you be there once more?

What's around that corner? What do you recognize?

Is it plain to see, or is it in disguise?

Are you accepting exactly what you see?

Or a distorted version of the way you want it to be?

If you could paint a picture, with your mind's eye,

Without concious or reasoning why

Every line defined from the corners of your mind

Would you recognize this picture

When you turn the corners, the corners of your mind?

Accept what you don't recognize

Was in you all the time

And practice tolerance and control

I Am God

  • Mood: still peaceful
  • Music: What If by Nicole Nordeman

Where are you? Am I there?  Do I approve? Do you care?

Don't you know there is nothing I can't see? You can't hide from me

Think about your yesterdays, what did I see? Where did you go with my eyes following thee?

What did you say, that you thought I didn't hear? Are you just sinning in my presence without fear?

I see you, I saw you, I know all, I am God

Remember while you're doing the things you shouldn't do    That my eyes are always upon you

Remember there is a reaping for all your sowing For I see your everything, I am all knowing

I heard you talk to others, I didn't hear you talk to me

I always wake you and you breathe my air without thanking me

You walk without my guidance as if you are keeping yourself

You only recognize me when you are desperate for help

You make me promises for your deliverence, but no promises you keep

Yet when again trouble arises, you want me rushing to your side just because you weep

I see you I saw you, I know all, I am God

Just remember those feet that take you're taking to mischief are mine, your toungue you're speaking ill with is too

Those lungs are mine, and I allow them air, Your heart would not beat if I didn't allow it to

I gave you sight and you see not me, I am light but in darkness you choose to be

Everything is mine, all is in my hands, Without my grace nothing could stand

And if I turn my hand over?

This was spoken to me by God about the oblivion of his existence to some people and the carelessness of their living, making him merely a convenience.

My Passion Is Your Praise

  • Mood: Joyful
  • Music: Held by Natalie Grant

 My Passion Is Your Praise

I love you with a passionate love, I thank you passionately

You moved upon and in my life, became the greatest part of me

My new reflection I'm getting used to, my smile I'm getting to know

Being distraught I'd become accustomed to, now I feel all aglow

Many gifts you bestowed on me, when I knew not love

You handled me as a beautiful flower, as if I were a delicate dove

I love to express my love for you, for my passion is your praise

I love speaking of your excellence, speaking of your marvelous ways

My passion Lord is your praise, it makes my tears profusely flow

It sets my heart all ablaze, for I love you more than I can show

(Written by Mary Ann Grose/ Item777) because God is so wonderful and praise worthy

If you agree send me an amen / God Bless You All
